Finance and Accounting Manager

Founded in 2014, IOG Capital, LP is a Dallas-based oil and gas investment firm that has over $725 million of assets and committed capital under management. IOG is seeking to hire a Finance and Accounting Manager; this newly created position is ideal for a self-starter who wants to immediately contribute to an established team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Review monthly JIBs, revenue statements, LOS statements, investment terms, and corporate agreements; work with JV Partners and 3rd party accounting administrators to ensure proper record keeping and monthly financial statement preparation
  • Track monthly financial activity to ensure timely payment and processing of JIBs and revenue
  • Perform budget versus actual analysis for investments
  • Work closely with engineering and investment staff to provide relevant and timely accounting information for preparation of reserve reports and deal underwriting
  • Drive the further development of internal processes to streamline and enhance operations

Candidate Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in upstream oil and gas
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting) with strong academic track record
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred
  • High proficiency in Excel and technology/automation oriented
  • Ability to think independently and provide sound and practical solutions to problems
  • Positive attitude and the excitement and willingness to tackle any project
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work on multiple tasks and work well within a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Experience with oil and gas accounting software such as Bolo, OGSYS, Wolfepak a plus
